Tatacoa

Filmed in 2024 - Edited in 2026 - 7:15

The Tatacoa Desert, in Huila, is a landscape where time seems to stand still. There I met Faryd and Estafany, with whom I spoke about our relationship with animals, forests, and the possibility of inhabiting the world with compassion. Their daughter Nikol adds a moving moment when she says that none of her little goats will die. Accompanied by Joseph Brooks’ piano music, the film contemplates the beauty and fragility of life. The blue ice of Lake Ontario evokes animal suffering, inviting us to look at what too often remains unseen.
