In Florence, the Wish Parade transforms the historic city into a spectacle of movement, celebration, and consumption. Moving against the crowd with my camera, I observe a city increasingly shaped for visitors rather than those who live there. Beneath the beauty of Firenze emerge tensions between tourism, commodification, and displacement. Through images and the ironic voice of a song from another era, the film reflects on a Europe increasingly transfigured by tourism.
